VH:
I haven't looked at your set yet, but I did read your post in the Tona thread. I have noticed a speed difference lowering psi for qual, but it seems to be nonexistent in race b/c of the draft.
That is weird about blowing up during qual...must have been something with the variables that were set when you started that test session.
Thanks for sharing your sets...i have learned a lot using them.

can you please post a replay of your qualifying lap, I'd really like to see how much throttle and brake you use around this very challenging track. thanks for the setup btw

When will the truth be revealed? stay tuned for the next time LxMartini shits out of his mouth.

there could be one of many uses for that brick..
1. Place on the throttle pedal
2. Place on the brake
3. Place on both throttle and brake
4. Throw at the guy that wrecked you
5. l'll just duck for this one...

For this qual run and race run your brake is just taking up space. You'll only use brake for pit stops. Full throttle around this track.
Hey VH, I haven't had a chance to see this setup yet. Are the caster settings the same as the Daytona setup? I found the Tona caster settings a bit different.
Also, have you run the TalladegaBR track? I'm wondering how this setup would translate.

Yes, I also use them at Dega and they are really kinda strange, but it works.

Is it possible to copy this setup to GNS cars or are GNS cars extremely different on the SS? (on normal speedways CUP setups work great).

Dunno, I've never driven a BGN car on a superspeedway.

VH - What is your logic on the 801 gear? It seemed too tall at first glance but it actually ran like a champ in testing with draft. Did you try other shorter or taller gears? Thanks for any info.

Uhm, I needed a gearing which allows me to run with 70% of tape safely (5% of tape = one tenth per lap on SS!!), that means for 300 miles (which is a common league distance) or more. A shorter 4th gear would mean that the water temperature gets too high in draft, a longer gear would just cost too much power, you'd be below the maximum of the power curve all the time.

Hi Volker
First of all I want to thank you for creating and sharing your setups with the racing community.
The reason I'm posting is to inform everyone that Intimidator_Wam of www.wildassmotorsports.com is useing Volkers sets and taking the credit for them. Yes he changes a few things but I do also. But I dont go posting them as my own. I know there is nothing anyone can do about this kinda thing but everyone will know what kinda poor excuse for a human being this guy is. I guess he has the need to be liked.
I saw his name on PWf getting recognition for his....opps I mean Volkers setups.
Now I'm not sure if all his sets are yours but the ones I saw were.

Mr. White
I found your post about Intim taking Volker`s sets, making small tweaks, and calling them his own, pretty amusing. If that were true, I would agree totally with you, about being a poor excuse for a human being. It is pretty obvious to me, you have no idea what you are talking about. If you are talking about the Dega sets, there is only so much you can do with a plate setup, so of course they will be similiar. You have no idea, the hours he spends in testing every week. And for someone like you, to come here, and for whatever reason, to try and trash him, is in my opinion pretty low. All he does, is make his sets, which it seems many people like, availiable to those who don`t have the time to make sets, or the know how to do it. People like him and Volker, and the few others who offer quality sets to the public should be thanked, not trashed, like it seems you are trying to do with Intim. Believe me, being a teammate of his, I do know what I am talking about. Sorry about this post Volker, but people like that are out to cause nothing but trouble. Mr. White, it seems you have been to our website, so you are welcome to come there and post in our forum, if you would like, and we would be more than happy to discuss with you, the accusations you have made. We would be more than happy to set the record straight.
