hi volker,

Also:
20°F = 1 Klick Diff Ratio (~ +-0.050:1 Final Gear Ratio)

Cloudy statt Clear:
Diff Ratio 2 Klicks runter, 5% weniger Tape.

Volker:

What changes do you believe are necessary if the weather is 77 and cloudy?

Thanks,

Foot

Qual:
Reduce diff ratio until your 4th gear ratio is 2.80x:1.

Race:
Reduce diff ratio until your 4th gear ratio is 2.70x:1, reduce tape to 65 or 60%, not sure about that. Well, and maybe you'll want to move about 10 lbs back in order to make the car turn better.

A web browser to watch this site and download files (looks like you have one) and WinZip to extract the .zip files into your D:\Papyrus\NASCAR Racing 2003 Season\players\"your__name"\setups\talladega folder.

well, I for my part put it directly into the C:\Papyrus\NASCAR Racing 2003 Season\tracks\talladega folder. This way you should be able to have it for any driver name you might use in NR2003...

I have had to add toe out to stablize this set-up for myself. Do you run lower than 100% linearity at Dega Volker? Will the toe be that much of a factor, tire wear, speed?

1. No, 100% at any kind of track.
2. No, doesn't play a big role I think.

The last couple weeks I have DL setups from here, Volker. I end up using a combination of what I came up and what you came up with and they have been pretty darn good. I just wanted to say I appreciate having something to compare. No idea how you can drive Marti consistently with that much brake bias though.

Anyway, thank god for this site cause I abhore working on sets for SS. Boring as hell to practice, just to have someone who thinks they are invincible ram into you. What would be nice to save myself doing ANYTHING for SS is a chart for temp vs. gear vs. tape. Cause 82F I still have to do some setup work to get that magic ratio. Not asking for this as it would be a pain, but it would be cool.

Thanks Again,
Brian

DL'ed your setup Volker. Thanks.

I ran your and Patrick Marx' german conversation above through the Google translator and your name came up as "Volker chopping man"!
A new nick maybe?

Regards,
Magnus Berglund
