Btw any new advice for this track?, I post here because the league I am, is 4 weeks ahead (TASCOR), I remember last time here, the set was stable and very good with the tyres, but it bottomed out in turn 1-2 making the car snap loose very suddenly, any advice? its better to raise the height or to stiff the front springs?

I don't have any issues with bottoming out and getting loose, so you probably enter the corner too hard. If you want to work on it setup wise, increase the front ride height instead of stiffening the springs.

Thanks, also Volker, how come you never used a cloudy set here ^^?, looks like tomorrow I will have cloudy 60ºf at the moment.

Uhh if you can't find a cloudy setup here, this doesn't mean that I've never used one.

As I had written in some other thread, I no longer make cloudy setups, as I don't race in any leagues that use random weather. In such races, the weather may change from clear to cloudy or vice versa between the sessions, so you only have 60 seconds to make adjustments and no laps at all to test them. If you have made and tested setups for both clear and cloudy 70°F, you know what the difference between these two weather situations is and it helps you guess what to change for the actual race weather.

Making setups for both clear and cloudy 70°F is a waste of time though if you only race in leagues with 'fixed realistic' weather. It makes much more sense to have just one base setup and to spend your time on practicing with the actual race weather, so you can build the setup you're going to use in the race right to the edge, instead of doing so with a cloudy 70°F setup you're never going to use in a race without adjustments barring coincidence.

For cloudy 60°F, I'd lower the diff ratio to get a 4th gear final ratio of 4.7:1, RR track bar down to 9.00 or 9.50 (or leave it at 10.00 if you expect a horrible race caution wise) , adjust the lower gears a bit and that's all.

Yea we actually use the real weather in our weeking using www.weather.com and the city of the track we race. The problem I have is that I really have no time to really test a set, the race is in less than 12 hours and I hadnt done more than 10 laps there lol, of course I had raced there before and I know whta to expect, but its always better to share and hear other people opinions to have a better aproach to the practice and race.

Very appreciated your advices and thanks once again .

Good notes Volker, I used 9.00 in track bar, and it was too tight for a 40+ laps stint, but very good for those first 40 laps, was having a solid top 5, but a late caution let us with a 1 lap shootout to the finish... and I rolled 9 times, in two diferent accidents in that last lap lol... 12th at the end : (.

Uhh it should be the other way around; using a tight setup at Richmond oughta make you slow the first 40 laps, but you'll be more and more competitive as the race goes on, the more so with the weather you had in your race (cloudy 57°F). This is because the car gets looser when the tires wear, not quite as bad as at Phoenix for example but yet very noticeable.
You can actually be very fast at Richmond without being too hard on tires, only about a tenth over hot lapping pace, if you've figured out how to drive this track smoothly. This was probably not the case though judging by the lap times, I reckon that it would be possible to hit 20.8s in qual trim and 20.9s/21.0s running hard in race trim at these conditions.
