All I do is move weight forward to balance out for the truck bed. Don't remember doing anything else.

But wont that make it corner slower?

I was under the impression that moving weight back will loosen it up abit and help it corner quicker, and as theres no problem with it wanting to spin, why change it?

Agreed, loose is fast, but if I remember right the CUP sets where a little too loose. I would change the gears to match the "PWF Expert" set and move the front/rear weight forward alittle to suit my style.

more often that not i end up altering the expert gears. This time i changed to those used in Dale Jr's setup which seem to work pretty well!!

Hi Volker I love your setups but they're too loose for me and when I try to adjust to suit my driving style I fixed the looseness but I also lost some speed how can I regain my lost speed and gain some more while not being loose. I'm driving the same way you do no force feedback and no aids and still the setup is too loose what do I do? l8r.

Ever heard the phrase "loose is fast"?
If you tighten a somewhat neutral setup on such a high speed track, it will always slow you down...and if I knew a way to make a rock-solid (euphemism for "way too tight") setup fast, you can be sure that I'd make use of it.

Volker,

Understand you not wanting to set up for a BR track--I don't want to run them. Unfortunately, I have no choice, as that's what my league is running. So, how would you recommend adjusting the race and qual sets (which are awesome on the original tracks) for the BR track? Also, is there a standard adjustment, or will I have to ask every time we go to a new BR track? Danke Schöen (spelling?)

I only know that you can use max. rear weight at TallatonaBR...well, and iirc you can loosen the car for the other tracks as well, maybe you also need slightly stiffer springs (way too much grip => higher speeds => more downforce => car bottoms out). But I can't tell you any particular values, I have uninstalled the BR tracks except Tallatona and I only did very little setup testing anyway.
(I knew after a few laps that I wouldn't drive there, so I didn't waste my time.)

As usual...move weight forward until you can drive it.

Learn to drive Volker's set-ups the way they are Tim. It will be time well spent. You could be lifting or braking too much going in to the turns.

I don't brake except for pit road and cautions that's it. I might be letting off the gas too much but I'm not sure of it. l8r.

When I took my Michigan set to BR, it was a little loose and ran out of gear too early. What I did was drop the # in gear (made it a higher one) and raise the rear springs to get the spoiler in the air. I run 36.5's in race trim no draft. I think the BR tracks are very unrealistic, I can Q 36.1 and race at 36.5, and Cup comes nowhere close to that.
