Thanks in advance!

I only did one lap there so far to check if I were going to have those CTD issues that had been reported, and the grip and general feeling were the same, so I won't change anything I guess.

"The original grip settings will be used"

There's a trackORIGINAL.ini in the folder you can rename to track.ini...well I think that's the idea for the race tomorrow...

Volker,

What initial changes would you make to your setup if you knew you were runnign at 56 degrees.

Thanks,

Jeff

None I guess, apart from a click more tape in race trim...

It's been so long since I got to race I forgot how to install the setups...lol...help
Thought all I had to do was download them and extract them into the nascar3/tracks folder. Am I wrong?

If you put the setups into the track folder, you can load them, but you cannot edit them, which is why I'd copy them into C:\Papyrus\NASCAR Racing 2003 Season\players\"your__name"\setups\"track name", or wherever you've installed N03.

The darlington cup setup works great in the cts07 mod running the darlington 2005 (night) track. I got the pole with a 29.351 running the Q 70 clear VH setup. Lead the most laps and won the race with the R 70 clear VH set. Even had the fastest truck at the end of a run. So if you ever need a cts07 setup for darlington 2005 (night) track. The VH darlington setups rock from start to finsh. ONLY CHANGE MADE WAS GEAR CHANGE IN RACE SETUP TO 3.933

1st thankyou for all your setups, now can someone explain what "trail brake" means, and does the following "I found that the setup tightened rather than loosened" mean tightened = loads of grip and loosened = no grip, thx

Trail braking means braking into the turns (rather than already completing the braking on the straights, before turning in) while decreasing brake pressure towards the apex.

Tight means no grip at the front (so the car won't turn), loose means no grip at the back (the car will slide around or even spin out).

Yay the lady in black is next. I have to confess that I had never raced here in a league, and I cann't remember even raced here online lol, so I can say I'm pretty noobish here. After doing 'my homework' and reading the topic, it looks like a tight set is safe for longer runs, and that turn 4 is a pain is the ass after some green flag laps... ^^

@ TASCOR we will be using the Revamped/Reloaded version, which has tyre heat/wear, and grip values modified, so don't know how it will affect the behavior of the car with your original darlington's sets, gonna give it a try ^^.
