I haven't tried Darlington yet, but it's very probable indeed...I'm going to post an update next Monday I think.

Volker, please don't delete those wonderful smooth driving sets. Some of us really like them. Hopefully we can still get them in the future.

UPDATE
Caster, springs and some other stuff...actually, I had expected to be able to loosen the car in race trim because of the caster, but that didn't work at all.

Is tire wear better?

No, but the car turns better with worn tires, just like at Dover.

Thx for the great sets VH. I almost won my Darlington with your set.....I just couldn't help myself from pushing too hard at the start of the run, and ran out of tires at the end. Sometimes second place really sucks!!!
I don't suppose there are any plans for the banked Homestead track in the near future? If not, what track's setups would you use as a starting point for Homestead?

I wouldn't be surprised to see a setup for the PWF of Homestead 2003, because of the great season final there in the GNL/DOM. Although it takes place a week later as usual...

No, my other leagues have scheduled their Homestead races for next week, so that's when I'm going to make and post setups for that track.

Hey Volker...just wondering... -

Hey Volker, Just wondering...
What chassis do you make your setups for? I run them in my Dodge with great success, but at certain tracks (Michigan, Dover, and Darlington) I have this problem with the car bottoming out going into turn one. I have tryed setting the car up higher, but the only thing that gets it to stop is raising the spring rates. At Michigan I don't mind it throwing a few sparks, its kinda like a governor so you don't overshoot the corner, but at Darlington it makes the car walk up the track in a uncontrolled maner (The car always walks up turn one, but when you bottom out it Skates up the hill, not cool). I am guessing that you make your sets for a chevy, but I don't really see why it would matter since the cars all weigh the same (in theory anyway). If you get a second try loading your Darlinton set into a Dodge chassis and go see if it skates up the hill on you... It could just be the way I drive...But after the same result at three different tracks I just have to wonder....
Thanks Droctor K #321.

The cars are all the same and bottom out all the same (I use Dodges and Chevys btw), but those soft springs provide more grip on other parts of the track which compensates for the time you might lose by bottoming out.

None for qual, add 5% of tape in race trim.

Yes, I had a race at clear 57°F NE 16 mph yesterday and that's how I set up my car.

Great setup Volker. I ran it stock (not even adding tape) at 57F@NE16, only changed brakebias to 57%...

I think that was a better choice, I just raced in BRSC with the same weather and the engine got a little hot with 65% of tape...
