Volker,

I've used a couple of your setups before and found them very good, though I do prefer to make my own, I got a long way to go to get your understanding

Anyway, I've taken your Las Vegas and changed it to work with Rockingham UK. As it's your original set, I thought I'd better give it back to you as it was your great work that got me a good set for my forthcoming race. Thanks very much for the great work and sharing of your hard work and knowledge

Your setups are so comfortable and balanced, they are great to drive. No more hanging on for the first few laps! Thanks for the great work.

UPDATE
I loosened both setups a little by moving weight back (only a click). They're not really faster, but they won't push that badly if you don't hit the line perfectly.

Thanks for the great sets Volker. I set the pole and won my Saturday Morning Vegas race with your set. I have a few other sets of yours I have done well with. Your setups seem to fit my driving style on speedways and have helped me with tire management [someting I struggle with as a new driver] Thanks again. Your hard work is appreciated and not taken for granted.

Warmly,

UPDATE
I adjusted the race setup's gearing as the engine was getting too hot.

Volker, what is your email? The one on this site doesn't appear to be working.

I just changed it in my user's profile, you're right, the old one hasn't worked for some weeks now and I forgot to replace it in this forum.

Changes for BGN - 02-24-2004, 11:39 PM

What changes would you recommend for this set to be converted for BGN?

I haven't driven the BGN more than once and not at Las Vegas...
I guess all you have to adjust is the gearing (higher diff ratio) and maybe you can raise the track bar a little or move weight back, not sure about that.

UPDATE
I tightened the race setup (the good old backdraft problem again...) and changed my driving technique: no braking until the tires are worn and the car doesn't turn anymore.
