Increasing the pressure would result in a bit less grip and a bit worse tire wear at the respective tire. So you can loosen the car by increasing the RR pressure, but that would be as smart as plowing into the wall backwards in order to loosen it.

What would you change for LowesBR with your setups?

If I change the tire press LF/LR 28 and RF/RL 48 to LF/LR 31 RF/RL 51 wouldn't be better on long runs?
The temp of the tires would be more cold and than I could accelerate more Am I wrong?
Or if I chang only one or two clicks the tire press?

Hello everyone!
Volker, I have to say this to you! When I 1rst got your sets, I didn't like them... Mainly because I were even more rookie than I am now!! (Instead of the yellow stripes at the rear bumper, my whole car was yellow! lol )
Anyway... I have a race to run with temperature at low 70s... until now, nothing special and I'd pick up the clear set and be smooth! Yesterday, I've installed the NNC update from Superspeedway.net (you might have heard of it) and the track_asphalt_grip was increased of 0,09.
As you know this extra grip makes the car faster, but at the same time tires temperature also is a higher and undesirable level...
What do you suggest me to do? I think that softening the springs, playing with the car weight and tire pressure I can make the temperature drop to a nice value! Or instead,I can also change the asphalt grip to the original value! lol Although it was cool to run at the actual speed they run at lowes! (and have 93840392 cautions!!!)

Thanks a lot...

Cheers!

Nothing of all that will help you.
softer springs = car bottoms out too much
stiffer springs = less grip, twitchy handling
higher tire pressures = less grip = more sliding = bad tire wear and even higher temps
car weight, umm, it would help if you could get rid of a few hundred pounds, but moving it around won't help

I haven't heard of that update yet, and that line you posted is enough to know that I don't need it. Lowe's isn't actually the most challenging track in the game anyway, so there's really no need to make it even more boring by adding some kick ass grip.

lol ok... maybe changing back the asphalt to the original value will solve this temperature issue easily!

The update is not that bad!! lol Actually, Lowe's is the only track that have a grip increment...

Just notice that I joined this forum almost a year ago and this is my 2nd post! I'm not using it as much as should!

Cheers!

You can also adjust (=lower) the tire heat value in the track.ini, but if you want it to work online, the server's track.ini has to be modified as well.

Well, another side note on that grip adjustment...
Increasing grip is definitely the wrong way to archieve more realistic lap times. In fact, they have less grip but more engine power in real life than we have in the sim.

cheers volker
im wondering if theres anything else your planning on doing to this setup this week or can it be improved.?
one other question for you.
i try to make adjustments (working on tire temps) to improve tire wear when possible.
what i want to know is if my attempts are worthwhile or is your setups optimized for long runs already? they seem to be good for long runs now but im always trying to get another lap or two out of them
thanks and great job.

I'm also wondering what can be done as well to gain a few more laps on old tires. I usually practice at 4x so i can see how far the tires will last, but right now I'm borderline with volker's setup. Sometimes I can make it sometimes the rf will blow. Any suggestions?

UPDATE
No toe out, as usual, and a tightened race setup for cloudy weather.

Yes, and of course you can blow a tire if you try to, in other words, pointlessly cane it.
