Yeah, C stands for cloudy...and if you get a push after 10 laps, you seem to run too hard and kill your tires.

You might have to reduce the diff ratio by a click in qual...in race trim, add 5% of tape and set diff ratio to 3.625.

lowes setup - 10-16-2004, 02:25 PM

thanks for the great setup for lowes. i was able to knock down the win last night while really not being pressured too much by the competition....only change made was up one notch on the rear sway bar and lower left front spring to 750....this allowed me too accelerate and actually gain speed in turn 4....now its on to atlanta.
thanks dennis

Love the set, it is wicked fast, but heck on tires. After about 10 laps, I get the worst lose condition coming off of 4, the rear wants to snap around really bad. Other than that, it is really good solid set. I run your stuff almost 100% of the time. Would you maybe run a Texas set at Lowes?

Any ideas or help with a set would be very helpful.

If the car gets too loose, increase front bias...

But I don't really understand your question about using a Texas setup for Lowe's...I have a setup for that track, why would I want to use another one which is too soft and too loose?

I just got a killer Texas set that is way fast and good for the whole run.

I will try that, most of the time all I ever do to your sets is drop the rear blade spoiler and add some tape. I have six winds this season using your sets.

This set's awesome, and I have found that many of the Cup sets can be quite good in the BGN mod with a couple changes. I've been trying to get this Lowe's one dialed in for a BGN car, but haven't found the right changes. I would think the setup would need to be loosened up for a BGN car, like perhaps FSB, raising trackbar, softening springs? Does this sound right? Any suggestions on the changes for this setup? I've haven't been able to find any other good BGN Lowe's setups, anyone know any good places? Thanks. Volker, keep up the good work!!

Lowes - 12-23-2004, 02:45 PM

VH I was wondering if you have made any changes to the Lowes set. In online practice last night we had some guys running 186's mph laps and I was trying to pace myself as not to overheat right side tires running 183's and 184's. After a few laps I was gaining but they had pulled out to about 5 sec's on me. It was not such a long run and hard to judge because they were getting loose off 2 and spinning. This is something they don't do during a race because they are more cautious. Just wondering if you were able to make it any better. I don't see how they are running that fast. I did raise rr tb up 1 notch. Any looser and I can't controll it in the middle of 3 & 4. We have a league race on Sunday night and we have some pretty good hard racers in our league. I know the conception of tire management and it usually gets me a decent finish, just wanting to pick it up a little. Thanks for all your hard work on these sets, you have made me a lot more competitive. You can check our league out at www.snrsracing.com , again thanks for all your help VH.

I did this to my set at Lowes and trust me they will not be able to touch you. For four or five laps they may be ahaed of you, but you will not only pass but leave them behind.

I ran this set and it was so good on tire wear that with a yellow with 10 to go, everyone pitted but me and I still held them off with 30 lap worse tires. Trust me, this is the set to use.

Loose - 01-04-2005, 02:39 PM

I'm loose coming off of the turns, car will get sideways, tried messing w/ springs.....no luck. Moved weight a click forward.
I can run it hard into the turns, but coming out of the turn the car wants to brake loose.I have NO aids turned on.
What wheel settings do you use for these setups?
I know my driving style is a little different. I like to feel a little force on the wheel
