Phoenix

Q + R setups and a replay of a qualifying lap (clear 70°F) .
The race setup might seem a little tight with fresh tires, but that's the only way to keep it somewhat controllable after 40/50 laps.

I don't know yet, haven't done any testing with cloudy weather so far. I have a league training with realistic weather tonight, maybe one of the sessions is cloudy. Otherwise I won't know what to change until thursday.
However, probable changes are:
- reduce diff ratio (2 clicks)
- soften RR spring (2-4 clicks I think)
- maybe some fine-tuning with track bar and / or front bias

Thanks for the Set Ups Volker, used your ATL set up and some fine tuning for a 75* and cloudy and had a run for the win til another car had problems in the pit and spun coming out and clipped me. Came from the back of the pack to a top 5. :->

Gonna go play with your Phoenix Set. Thanks again.

Thanks Volker, excellent setup as always, managed a high 27.8 with the qual set.

The qualifying setup is OK, but the race version is too loose to drive in a really tire-saving way, I'll modify it tonight or tomorrow

Erm I haven't updated them yet...I just tested a modified version (dropped the track bar to 8.75 on both sides), but it is a bit slow at the beginning, I'll try to fix that tomorrow and then I will upload it.

Yes, I also thought it was a little too loose for a race. I dropped the Right Rear spring to 450 lbs and that seemed to tighten it off the corner enough to drive consistently.

Yep, that should have a very similar effect.

I am running 28.6 - .7 race laps. What kind of laps are you running? If you could post a 5 lap replay each week like you did for Atlanta that would really help with the line and brakeing ponts the setup is designed for.

Thanks, keep up the good work you setups have kept me in the top five since the patch came out, good work.

Actually what I meant Volker was... thanks for adjusting a posted setup when you find something better. It would be easy for you to just post your rough draft of a setup and leave it at that. But by posting that you were going to "update" them...shows that you are looking for the best possible setup and will gladly let all of us drive it... I know it's not up yet, it was more or less a thank you... early

just ran a 27.790 in qual trim at 70F, it seems if u take a lower line into turn 1, you can carry more speed through the corner, also I went for a fast low apex into 3, and than a 2nd apex on the exit which seemed to work well too.

volker,
thanks for the setups!
i found the race set to loose also
i dropped the track bar on both sides and lowered the rr tire pressure
and seemed to help.
im looking forward to see what changes you make with the update
thanks again,
jay

@ Richard:
I also tried another line in Turn 1 and did a 27.754, but I forgot to save the replay.

hehe, I think there's more speed yet, as the .7 I did I was kinda too careful on the throttle I think, but I'm very happy with the setup, yours seem to suit my style more than anyone elses

Volk, qual'd 2nd last night at Atlanta and had great tire wear throughout the race. I can't thank you enough for your sharing & generosity. Never found setups so perfect for my driving style before. I'm already pupmed about Pheonix & haven't even tried it yet. I will check back tonight for your updated one.
