You can drive as fast as you want to, Phoenix has a really low tire wear.

Higher air temps - 04-16-2007, 05:59 AM

Thx Volk. great sets. Latley servers have been using realistic air temps, this can really effect a set up. What do you recommend when temps go up verses down from the 70d base line?

Higher Temperatures:
Reduce tape (about 1 click per 10°F) and add track bar to loosen it up, but I don't remember how much TB you need for what kind of temperature increase.

Lower Temperatures:
Add Tape (about 1 click per 10°F) and lower the track bar.

90 Degree set up. - 04-21-2008, 03:27 AM

Volker, what would you do for 90 degrees?
I went up to 10.00 on the RR track bar and added -10 to the wedge, also took 1 click of rebound out of the RR.
Didn't see to much difference in the tire pressures so I left them alone, What did I forget, I am still a 10th or so off some off the fast guys....Thanks dude.....

I would loosen it up a ton, probably about 11.00 right side track bar in qual and 12.00 in race trim (in fact, I'd rather leave the track bar as it is in race trim and add rear spring split instead to leave some adjustability in the car for running with low fuel at the end, but I have no idea how much spring split I would need to achieve the same balance change). Furthermore I'd go a click up on diff ratio and down to 45% tape in race trim.

Yep Volker, a 375 RR spring did the trick, 45 tape and one click on 4th gear.
I had the race won until I made a late pit stop while leading and lost. Never said I was a good crew chief, Heck am not even a bad crew chief!!!!....Thanks again.
