Könnte vielleicht daran liegen, dass ich bisher maximal 60 Runden ohne Unforced schaffe...

Ive just got the new setup (say thanx to RichT , he brought me here). Not sure if its my wheel settings or just the setup, or just the way im driving the track, but when brakings into both turns, especially turn 1, the car wants to get sidewards easily! Also, on the exit of turn 2, i hit the wall about 6 times in a 10 lap run, just doesnt seem to turn out of it very easily!!!

Could someone give me some advice on why it does not seem to be working!!

What do you mean by sidewards? Does the car get loose when you're braking or are you too fast entering the turn?
A replay might be helpful I think...

Homestead question.. - 11-12-2003, 04:00 AM

I was just wondering if you will be making a setup for the new updated banked version of the Homestead track, or if you are making one for the original track included with the game?

Volker, it seems to be when im braking, and im not really pushing very hard. Saying that, my pb is 28.7, but thats with a completely different setup, which seems alot more stable in the corners. Next time i drive there, if get a replay of a couple of laps and pop it in here or something!!

Maybe it is bcos of the low front brake bias I use...under braking and at the turn entrys, you have to stabilize the car with the throttle, otherwise you'll lock up your rear wheels. If you don't work with both brake and throttle at the same time, increase front brake bias to 65% or more.

thats probably it!!!

I just been driving your martinsville setup, but have only managed a 21.179 as my best lap so far. I have a replay, do you want me to email you it (and if so, i need yoru email) or set it as an attachment?

Sending it via e-mail is probably better...send it to vh@deadlineracers.net

If you want to compare replays yourself, I can recommend the N2002 or N2003 Replay Analyzer (both of them work with N03 replays).

Wow, i just looked at your replay, didnt realise its best to go so slow thru the center of the corner !! (ive been taking it around 63 all corner, which probably explain why i keep hitting the wall :/

hi volker,

i would like to ask you if you could have a look to phoenix setup and to modify it for the bush mod..right now i have reced with hte cup one imported in the bush mod but may be you can easyly tune it better for the mod...you know, may be it needs just gear adjustment or track bar or whatever....i tried it bymyself but the result is bad :-).... i can use the cup setup, but ....
or at least if you can give some tips of what to do......

ok, anyway thanks......
thanks also for a second place in texas with your setup :-)

Phew, I've never tried the BGN cars at Phoenix, but I think you don't have to make many adjustments...
I'm quite sure that you'll need a shorter gearing (higher value for the diff ratio, 1 or 2 clicks).
The balance should actually work quite well, just make sure the front bias setting is correct after converting the .cup.sim setup to .gns.sim (have a look at the percent values, not at the absolute ones). Maybe you can loosen the setup a little by increasing rear spring split or raising the track bar, but one or two clicks will probably be enough.
