This is how i have the ini file setup

explorer=C:\program files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe;
template=D:\Downloads\Games\Nascar2003\SetupTool\N 2003SP\n2003sp.html;
outFile=D:\Downloads\Games\Nascar2003\SetupTool\N2 003SP\_Temp.htm;

first line has to point to internet explorer. usually located in the above address.

the template line has to point to n2003sp.html. In my case its on my D drive in a sub folder

outFile has to point to _temp.html

I HAVE SO MANY SETUPS... IVE BEEN BATTLEING ALL OF THEM...IN THE GAME SORTING MY NEWEST SETS AND ADDING 2004, THIS TOOL IS PERFECT FOR DOING JUST THAT....HELPS ME REM EMBER WHAT I DID TO VARY SETS...BUT ALSO FOR MAKING HTML SETUPS-BACKUPS TOO

Well, After spending hours trying to get this to work. I dont have a __temp.htm file in my folder along with the .ini .exe and .html Where does that file come from ?

UK I wanted you to know that with your setups I'm 2nd in points with my league and only 45 out of 1st with 2 races left. Your setups aren't the fastest but they certaily are the most stable across the board I've ever run. Good job, just wanted to thank you for your hard work, without you I'd be stuck in the middle of the pack.

Did you read some postings before, what I wrote about?
Sorry for my bad english but this little program works fine here.

Install unzip on C:\N2003SP

then go to your setups and make a rightclick on one of your setups
look at the pic its german but I think you can understand it

So far I have gotten everything to work, and it does open the files but the problem I am having now is that the file does not come up in a very manageable format. I do not have this game (actually I will be getting it soon but I have NASCAR 08 for the 360 which is fun none the less. Could this be the reason that my file opens up in a .doc sort of format? There is no seperation and it is just a long list of numbers. Could someone let me know what I need to do in order to read it in the same format as the pictures show please, thank you very much....

So far I know, you need Nascar Racing 2003 Season to work this tool.

Ok thats what I figured. How was that setup picture on the first post created? I can see that and it is in the correct format. Is it a screen capture of some sort? I would really like to get some help with some setups because I am having a lot of trouble trying to figure these things out without any instructions. Is there any other method of obtaining these that I could try, or that someone could help me with? If the files could be saved and attached to an email the same way that the first picture (atlanta setup picture) in the first post then I would be able to see and read everything. Would this be to much trouble for one setup at each track, saved the same as this type? Sorry to be so much trouble but I love NASCAR and cant seem to get the hang of these simulation games because I dont know how to setup a car. Have a great one!

I would only need a qualifying setup for each track as I could convert between the two I believe, just something to get me close. I also have a screen capture tool on my computer and would be willing to send it as an email attachment to anyone that would like to help. Hello, I just wanted to let you know that the reason it did not work is based on the first line in the above copy paste (read again):

I was told by Volker Hackmann that this is German and translated to English stands for "The Template file [...]\n2003sp.html cannot be loaded".

Fixing this problem is rather easy. You just take the html file n2003sp.html which is located at View Setups w/o NR2003? (thanks to VH) and copy paste it into your same folder where the .ini temp.html and so forth are located. Thanks again VH!

Iam still active yes, but now in Live for Speed, did you try that? GPL is still on my HD it never will be deleted. Next Year 2008 we go to celebrate 10 Years GPL!!
About Nascar Racing Season 2003 still have it but I didnt drive online for months because LFS is a good and hard Sim and a big challenge.
You know Iam an old man, but never will retire !
