Weather Changes? - 05-02-2004, 04:20 PM

Ulli? How would you change this setup for the heat out in California? I've already removed some tape, but I'm not sure that's all I need to do. I've found it gets REALLY tight if you over drive the tires, but that's what you get when you overdrive this mile and a half flat track!

Dank für die ganze Ihre Hilfe, Ulli. Verzeihen Sie meine Deutsch.

Dank wieder, Ulli!

I'm sorry Ulli. I thought I was doing something good. In case I didn't get my point across, here's what I was attempting to say...

Thanks for all of your help.

Your setup ran great last night. I only made a few changes for the weather. I pulled 10% tape off, increased the RF tire pressure by 10 lbs, moved the F/R wieght back 10-15 lbs and made one other minor change that I can't recall. The car was a rocket at 96 degrees.

Again, thanks for all of your help. Your setups are great and I don't believe I'll go with anyone else's. I can take your setups directly without changing anything (which is very unusual for me.)

Please don't mistake my translating my comments to German as an offense to you. I thought it would be easier for you. Again, my apologies to you.

No Chris it was all my mistake, not yours! I took the wrong words to say that translation websites or tools are funnie but absolut not suitable to translate english language into german. These tools translating word by word and this is the reason why the result is a very strange german.

Chris i will do my best in future to make safe and stable setups for Nascar Racing Cup to make you all happy.

Any recommendations converting this cup setup to a high-performance GNS setup? Thanks.

Hey Ulli. I use sometimes your setups and i'm happy on the whole with it. But yesterday i had a race in California and have used your setup. The conditions were: 70 Clear no wind. I have reduced the tape already before the to 50% but the engine gone after 80 laps. The game said piston. What can be the reason? I ask you because a have another race in California on tuesday and i'm not sure whether i should use your setup again. Maybe you can help me. Thanx in advance.

Cheers

Have you checked temperatures during race?
Sometimes is Nascar Racing Season 2003 producing random failures, this may be the reason if the temp was normal in race.

Did you suffer some front / engine damage earlier in the race? That would be an explanation as well...
I doubt that 50% tape causes heat problems, I use 60% at Fontana and never blew my engine yet...so the only possible explanations are damage and a random breakdown if you ask me.

No Volker no damage at the car. Therefore i was so surprised. Suddenly i saw smoke and short time later was the engine gone. I have used Ulli's setups a few times. Never probs but this time

Dear Uli,

I am trying to run your UK Cali setup in 70 - 75 degree weather temp range, but having a hell of a time keeping car in a nice groove, it keeps wanting to push up, any ideas to help minimize this?

Hi Ulli

The setup was fine! I was able to run constant times. Your setup is very stable exceptionally in the first rounds after a pit stop. That's very good. I've used your setup for Daytone and it was fine too.

So really look forward using your whole setups for season I've to drive

Great work man!
