Bristol Night Revamped 1.1 (Normal Banking) - 12-27-2007, 04:44 AM

Hi All,

After a fair bit of coaching from Volker in another thread (thanks Volker!), here is my qualifying and race setup (Cup) for Bristol Night Revamped 1.1 (Normal Banking).

My best race laps are 0.3 slower than on the regular Bristol using Volker's setup (16.4 cf 16.1 - I know not overly quick on either, but I don't believe this is the fault of the setup ).

Tires wear a little faster than the regular Bristol, and a better driver may be able to adjust the weight back one click to reduce the pressure on the RF.

Cheers

Brad

I adjusted the weight back two clicks for a looser feeling, great setup for clear, however, I'm having a heck of a time trying to set up for cloudy, I have absolutley no grip and spin the wheels off 2,4 everytime no matter how tight I try to make it.

Illmortal,

Glad you like the setup! I have posted about 7 setups and this is the first feedback I have had. I just assumed that nobody liked them and wasn't going to post any more. If someone likes the setup, then I guess it makes it worthwhile posting! I will try 2 clicks back on the weight and see how it works for me - the weight was a lot further forward than I would normally have, but this made it fairly stable.

I have been busy with work and haven't done any setup work for a month or so, but if I get a chance I will look at Cloudy setup. In the interim, I would suggest doing a comparison of Volker's Clear and Cloudy setups for the normal Bristol track, and trying similar adjustments to what he has made.

Cheers

Brad

I didn't run a lot of laps with this, but it seemed to work fairly well at 70deg cloudy. I put the weight back 1 click, small adjustment to the diff, and increased the rear spring split by 50lb (LR up 1 click, RR down 1 click).

Enjoy.
