Added Version 2

Updated:

Moved weight forward.
Upped front springs for less front tire grip, more of a "push" feelings, adds grip.
Lowered rear springs for more traction in and out of corners.
Raised front ride height to stop bottoming out and feeling of ice through blind corners.

Hey Nicholas could you try this gearing. Seems to be a bit smoother. I no guru though.

1st 3.45 (13.47)
2nd 2.07 (8.06)
3rd 1.60 (6.24)
4th 1.28 (4.98)
5th 1.06 (4.12)
6th 0.90 (3.53)

Final 3.90:1

I'll give it a shot, main gears here for me seem to be 3rd and 4th. Majority of the lap is spent in 3rd and 4th gear.

Thanks,
Nick

What are your average and best track times? I'm really battling with this setup, there's a right-turn through a dip just before the pit entrance where it's really easy to loose the backend. The left turn after the backstraight is also quite dangerous.

I manage about 58.8 with this setup. With my own much tighter setup (much more wing) I've managed to get 56.83 (which is also not great but I can do it a little more consistantly). Any tips? I've tried increasing wing but it's still a little to loose. I'm also a noob and I'm just playing around with various configurations.

These are for the most up to date version of the F3000 mod, which I believe is 1.2. So yes would be my answer.

Well Maxiums,

You are cruzin man! I am glad others can drive my setups faster than I can, because my blap is a 1:03....yea I am slow lol.

That corner you are talking about is where a ton of weight is off the ground, work on your entry getting into there and keep the car straight, if you are off a little bit either way, when the weight shifts up into the air you'll lose the rear end in that direction.

Personally I would move the weight forward or increase your front downforce, I could be wrong but that would fix that problem. Be sure to coast through that corner and I keep it in 4th gear so that I can mat on the gas right when I come down to the semi-sweeping right hander after the dip.

The left-right combo I have finally gotten used to and can keep it on the floor. Just try to keep it going left till the last moment and don't jerk it right but try to hit the apex straight and be very smooth. The elevation change causes the uneasiness when going through that fast combo.

Try those things and if you still can't pick up speed, send me your setup and I'll see if I can fix it.

Thx for your response Nicholas. We are having a race on Sunday and I'm still tweaking my setup a bit. I can now consistantly get in the 57.xx seconds per lap. It's configuration is a bit extreme and is made much more for the sweeping bends than the straights. I've got very stiff front suspension/springs and very soft back with plenty of wing (21 at the back if I remember correctly). Perhaps you can compare our setups and see what will help yours a bit (keeping in mind that I'm a complete noob at this and that I may have made some really stupid adjustments). I just find that since there are very little straights on this track that a tighter setup works better. You'll also have green tires for about 20 laps. If you want to I can send you my setup as it is now.

Well try to think of this also, are there more left or right hander. For the 'sprint' there are 4 right handers, and 2 left turns....so.....maybe non-symetrical? Set it up for your right handers and you can make up more time in the righties rather than being average in rights and lefts....just a thought.
