I'm having a problem using your setups. I used to use them a few years ago and they were incredible. I haven't really played the game in a while so I uninstalled it. Now I reinstalled it and am trying to get your setups but i put them in the folder and what not and when I go to change my setup, I can click on it but when I do it just goes to the last setup I used. Do you know why that is? Any help is much appreciated and thank you in advance.

Have you installed the 1.2.0.1 Patch for N2003?

What I do to compensate for an empty fuel tank is adding track bar, how much depends on the track. On fast tracks, like 1.5 and 2 mile ovals, you need up to 1.5 clicks of track bar per missing gallon, on tracks like Marty you need no adjustment at all, the other tracks are somewhere in between.

For example at Lowe's, if I have 14 gallons left in the tank and don't take any fuel, it means that 8 gallons are missing, so I add 8 * 1.5 = 12 clicks of track bar.
Hi Volker, after studying a little bit ur posts, I just didnt understand this part, in that example u would had added 12 click of track bar, but if u have right side track bar at 8.5 (same at left side trackbar) the new right side track bar would had been 11.5, is that right? isn't it really really loose ?

By now, I would even add 2 clicks per gallon at the fast tracks, that would be 16 clicks and 12.50 TB in the example.
It is not really loose, but the car pulls to the left a lot more than usual under acceleration, which makes many people think that it is loose, even though they only need to steer a lot more to the right.

Your setup is amazing...I had a serious problem with bottoming out on entry into 1...knocked the LF compression up a couple clicks to fix, but other than that...this thing is like lightning. Great job.

One other question...when you say tires go yellow after X number of laps, is that on normal pit frequency? I ran on 2x PF and tires never turned yellow until lap 22.

Yes I usually use normal (1x) pit frequency, and if not I'd probably convert the 'data' to 1x before posting it. 44 laps until the RF turns yellow is really late though, you may want to start a bit faster hehe.

Good to know...thanks.

Yeah, I was running pretty conservatively, 29.8's - 30.2's. Just wanted to feel the thing out.

ETA: Thanks a million Volker...your setup came through with flying colors in my race last night. Started up front and finished 1st.
