Just saying thanks! - 05-08-2009, 02:29 PM

I'm really new to the sim racing seen and just wanted to say thank you to the guys that put this website together and provide setups and help.

I've been a somewhat limited participant in iRacing since early this year and am only just starting to get the hang of it in terms of driving. Setup though has been something of a mystery (which kind of humiliates me since I have an engineering background and expect more from myself )

This season, I'm working on the Star Mazda and last night I downloaded VH's setup for the Mazda at Road America. I had to make a couple of mods to make the car a little more forgiving (particularly a little more wing) but still managed to take two seconds off my lap time (2:08s down to 2:06s)...

I don't know much about setup but I think I learned something from that download - it was so drastically different than my own. I have to say that I really appreciate that there is a site like this where someone like me has the opportunity to ask questions and learn a few things!

So, thanks much to everyone that contributes!

I would like to take this time to thank everyone as well. I recenty started sim racing and this website really has helped me a lot. I have always loved racing and racing games. You guys provided exactly what I wanted, and it was awesome. I just have to ask, is there any way I can help the website out? I would like to donate if possible.

We might as well turn this into a "Thank you" thread or a testimonial type thing just for future reference
