I've recently developed an issue with my game. Even after a fresh install, my game will randomly freeze. Its happened about 5 times in the last 4 months, almost always during a caution in a connected race. It doesn't kick me to desktop, my windshield just freezes while out on the track. The sound continues, but the screen is totally frozen which lasts about 5 seconds before coming back. If I can get it off to the left and stop it, I can salvage it when it comes back. Any body heard of this? I can give computer specifics if needed.

I assume that you're talking about NASCAR Racing 2003 Season?
I had these issues 4 years ago, and the spotter was to blame for it. Sometimes when he said something lengthy, mostly under caution (for example the pit road speed reminder) but sometimes also at the 10 to go mark, the game did what you just described, and what fixed it for me was switching the spotter to text only mode.

I have had this recently also. I don't recall it happening before I put on the Jimmie Johnson spotter pack. Would not suggest using any add on spotters if you are experiencing these types of difficulties.
