» HOW IT WORKS
» What's HOF?
HOF (Hall Of Fame) is the Sim-Challenge.com GTR Hotlap World Ranking with probably the fastest laptimes and fastest drivers on the net for Simbin's GTR!
» What do I have to do to be able submit laptimes to the hotlap tables?
1) Naturally you need the fantastic GTR game by Simbin. The current version is v1.4. Make sure you have all latest updates installed.
2) You have to register yourself for the Sim-Challenge.com Hall of Fame. In case you are already registered for the GTR World Championship you don't need to re-register. After successful registration you will receive your driver id and password by email. Store it in a safe place, you will need it later in order to submit hotlaps to the database.
3) Download and install both the Microsoft .NET Framework and the SCR Utility from the file section. The .NET Framework is needed for the functionality of the SCR Utility. Our utility is a small and powerful tool which will allow you to start GTR from its interface. The purpose is simple. When you exit the game after a hotlap session it will automatically take all necessary data and submit the best laptime to our database. It also will create a chk file which will be transferred to our servers in order to check the game for modified files (e.g. cheating).
» Rules
1) Hotlaps have to be done in simulation mode only. There is no time restriction, you can do as much laps as long as you want.
2) No aids are allowed except clutch and autogear. It's mandatory to turn on tyre and fuel usage. No savegames allowed.
3) Cutting: It's not allowed to cut the track. Always stay with 2 wheels within the white lines surrounding the tarmac. Curbs are part of the track and have to be recognized similar to the white line.
4) If you think a lap you downloaded is illegal according to these rules please mail to Admin.
5) No addon cars allowed, skins yes. Original cars up to game version 1.400 supported.
» GTR Rank
1) Absolute rank: The absolute rank represents the sum of all track records (in seconds) driven by the HOF members in their respective classes. The benchmark is dynamic, means it is updated in realtime once a driver submits a new track record. The maximum a driver can reach is 0,000s gap to benchmark, means he would have to hold all records on the ten 2003 season tracks. You can't go negative at this rank.
2) Relative rank: The relative rank represents the sum of all track records (in seconds) driven by the FIA GT drivers in their respective classes at the official 2003 season events. Benchmark is fixed. The maximum negative gap to benchmark a driver can reach is only bound by his own limits.
3) Penalties: For each track not completed with the same car a penalty of 180 seconds is added to the total time of this driver. Once you have completed all ten 2003 season tracks with the same car you can hunt for the record at the absolute / relative rank.
4) Cars: You can use whichever car you want. Each car generates its own rank means you can't combine 4 laps with the NGT Porsche plus 6 laps with the NGT Ferrari, for example, to complete your rank.
