VH, Thanks for the advice, and you are right I am not getting off the gas like the replay shows. Also I am not able to stay as low as you are in 1&2. So I spent a few hours trying to mimic the line and throttle as in the replay and I either cant do it or have some steering setting wrong. When I try to do it, I either loose the rear of the car, slide up the track in the middle of the corner, or slide down to the white line/apron. All three of these result in disaster and I smashed about 500 cars trying to learn the technique. I can do it once or twice but have been unable to get consistent at it except spinning out or smacking the wall.
So after that frustration I decided to go back to my current method of jumping off to about 1/4 throttle. Since I could not run as low a line in turns 1 & 2, I reduced the FSB, and RF spring by one click. I was able to get into 1 & 2 better and seemed able to run more 29.1 laps. I dont have any long runs on this so not sure how my tire wear is.
Ever since 2003 came out I have bee consistently a half a second slower than the fast times I see on the boards and in replays, so maybe 29.1s are the best I am going to hit?
I bought the TSW2 to be able to turn off steering assist and hoped to close the gap on my half second handicap. I have steering assist off now, but just have not picked up the time......yet. Just for a test I kicked SA back on to 30%, I ran a few fast laps but then quickly started running increasingly slower. That maybe due to not liking SA taking the "feel" of the car away. So SA is back off to stay and I will just do the best I can.
Anyway its a great set and I will keep trying to get better.
thanks
