Higher front rebound makes the car more stable, especially less twitchy under power, so you can loosen it w/o actually snapping loose at the exits.
The huge sway bar allows you to use softer front springs which results in more grip and a less twitchy handling. It doesn't work in race trim because it's too hard on the tires, though.
