N2003 Racing is Alive and Well - 12-09-2004, 05:23 AM

OK, so how do I join Racing Roadhouse?

Good question and thanks for your interest in Racing Road House. I am RRH_Bob D (AKA RRH_forman400b), and I have been with the group since November of 2003. This is a great group of guys who take racing seriously, but still manage to have a great time. We don’t tolerate flaming or intentional wrecking or any other ‘negative’ track actions. Sportsmanship is a high priority at RRH. We now have over 40 full time members. Below are a few simple steps you must perform to become a member. We are an adult league, therefore we require you to be 18 years or older to run in points races (consideration will be given to 16 and 17 year olds). Also, we use a voice communicator on our server, which is really a great asset to online racing. The good news is you can start racing right away!

Our servers are set for league racing on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. All races qualify at 8:30PM EST with races starting about 8:45.

2005 Schedule:

Monday Night Truck Madness is available to drivers of all levels. Here we run the CTS series at 35% length. Pit frequency will be set at 1x and open setups will be used. Aids and view are optional, and cautions will be on with weather set at 70 deg clear. There will be quarterly winners and an overall winner. Jim Williams is our Monday night pit boss, and you can find more information here: http://www.rookieroadhouse.us/forum/viewforum.php?f=22

Tuesday Night Men of Steel is our hardcore night. Do you have what it takes to run 50%, no aids, cockpit view, actual weather and yellows? This series will attempt run as realistic as you can get on N2003. We run with the Nextel Cup Series here, with 3 session winners and an overall winner. You must be able to hold your line and draft properly to run this series. The drivers here have experience racing hardcore; no aids with cockpit view. This is not a rookie event. Bob D (forman400b) is your pit boss for Tuesdays: http://www.rookieroadhouse.us/forum/viewforum.php?f=23

Thursday Night will see a new format this season. We will be putting our traditional IROC series on the shelf, and will be running a Cup Mod series, known as ShOTS. The schedule here will mirror that of the 2005 NASCAR Nextel series with added races on off weeks. On Thursdays, yellow flags will be on and weather will be fixed. Open setups will be allowed and driving aids will be disabled. Drivers of all levels are welcome and encouraged to attend. Bill C is our Thursday pit boss: http://www.rookieroadhouse.us/forum/viewforum.php?f=24

We also run occasional special events and often the server will be set for open racing.

Wow, that’s a lot of racing.

Until recently, we were known as Rookie Roadhouse, so we have the know-how and experience to get the novice driver pointed in the right direction.

The first thing you need to do (if you haven’t already) is to register on our website located here: http://www.rookieroadhouse.us/forum/. Register using some form of your real name i.e.J_Smith or John_S.

Once you’re registered, PM or email me for a trial number. Trial numbers are issued as 3 digit numbers. You will use this number while a trial or unpaid member. If and when you become a full paid member, PM me for a number of your choosing, provided it is available. Include at least 3 numbers in order of preference in case your first choice is taken.
(Please note: Until further notice, NO DONATIONS are required at RRH!!)

You can join as a full member at any time by clicking the ‘Pay Pal’ icon on the upper right corner of our homepage. There, you will see the various options available to join. (Pretty cheap, if you ask me; 3 bucks a month). In addition to choosing your own number as a full member, you also get to upload your custom cars to our library.

In order to race in our servers, you must create a new Sierra ID with the RRH tag before your website ID, like this (CAPS and underscore) RRH_Bob D. You must use this format, along with your correct name and number in order to receive points.

We use Teamspeak voice communication for our online races. It’s quite simple to download, install and use. All you need is a microphone, and speakers, or better yet, a headset. This is a great way to get help, get questions answered right away, and during the race, to communicate your moves on the track. On our homepage, click the ‘Teamspeak’ icon on the left side column.

Lastly and most importantly, you must read and understand our code of conduct and rules. You can find them here: http://www.bigbellysracin.us/modules...icles&secid=21

If you have any questions at all, don’t hesitate to drop me a line and if you’re interested in racing with us, post your information below, email or PM and I'll get back to you ASAP.

Please provide the following information:

SIERRA ID:

Internet Connection:

Are you willing to use voice communications?

Are you over 18?

Have you read and willing to conform to our rules?

What kind of race wheel do you use?

Tell us about your online racing experience?

Type of pc you use?

Tell us about yourself?

Email address:

We also have a very comprehensive web site that is loaded with information. Check it out here: http://rookieroadhouse.us/index.php .

Once again, you are welcome to join our league and I’ll see you on the track.
